Introducing Master Ki Hoon Jo of HAN Taekwondo
Master Ki Hoon Jo began training in Taekwondo at the age of 8 and went on to become an elite Taekwondo athlete, training throughout his primary school, secondary school, and university years.
From a young age, he showed outstanding talent and passion for Taekwondo. He competed in various Taekwondo competitions held in Korea and achieved excellent results, earning recognition for his ability as a Taekwondo athlete.
During his years as an athlete, he consistently underwent more than three hours of intensive training every day. Through this demanding training, he developed not only his technical skills and physical strength, but also the strong mindset and perseverance needed as a martial artist.

As an adult, he enlisted in the Republic of Korea Navy and completed his military service. He was selected as a member of the Navy Taekwondo Representative Team and achieved a winning result at the Minister of National Defense Taekwondo Championships.
Having chosen the path of a Taekwondo practitioner as his career from an early age, Master Ki Hoon Jo completed his military service and studies before beginning his career as a Taekwondo instructor in Singapore, continuing Taekwondo as both his profession and way of life.

In 2022, he joined HAN Taekwondo, and he has been teaching and training students with us ever since.
He has also continued to compete in Taekwondo competitions in Singapore, maintaining his skills and competitive spirit as a former elite Korean Taekwondo athlete. Today, beyond his experience as a competitor, he is dedicated to passing on his experience and passion to students as a professional Taekwondo instructor.

The Most Important Qualities of a Taekwondo Instructor Are Understanding Martial Arts and Self-Training
We believe that a good instructor is more than someone who simply knows how to teach techniques.
A good instructor should understand martial arts, continue training personally, and be able to connect their own experience to the growth of their students.
Master Ki Hoon Jo continues to train not only in Taekwondo but also in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in order to broaden his understanding of martial arts and continually improve areas where he can develop further.
He also regularly participates in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions to test his skills and physical conditioning, while continually challenging himself through new experiences.
This self-training is not simply about learning another martial art.
It is a process of objectively looking at his own strengths and weaknesses, understanding different perspectives in martial arts, and applying those experiences to his Taekwondo instruction.
We believe that only an instructor who never stops training can truly speak to students about the value of growth.

A Coach Who Grows Together with His Students
Drawing on his experience as an athlete and his years of training, Master Ki Hoon Jo guides each student to discover their own potential and grow step by step.
His teaching philosophy is not simply about teaching Taekwondo techniques. He also helps students develop focus, perseverance, self-management, confidence, and a willingness to challenge themselves through the training process.
As a member of the HAN Taekwondo coaching team, Master Ki Hoon Jo will continue to learn and train, doing his best to support the physical health, mental strength, and continued growth of our students.
